Haul Time! What I got from Inglot + a few random buys!!

M: My lovely godmother gave me a gift card to Inglot for my birthday a few weeks ago. Today I finally had the time to go get something with it! Me and Julia often go there together and test out all the awesome colors they have. This is what I picked from Inglot and also some essentials that I was running out of:

The first thing I got from Inglot is a palette with five big-sized eyeshadows. I tried to search for some unique and pretty colors that would look nice just by sweeping it on the lid without adding anything else. I'm also not the best at adding color to my routine, so here we go. Also, the shadows do have number codes, but they happen to be behind the shadow so I'm not able to tell you the codes. :(

The first shade is a beautiful light brown with a mauvy undertone. It has a very subtle sheen to it that makes it so gorgeous.

This shade is probably my favorite out of all of the colors I got. Like I mentioned, I'm not very good at putting any kind of color into my make up, but this is a total exception! So I got an orange eye shadow. Not only that, but it is utterly beautiful. The lady at the store even said that this shade is their most purchased shade for spring/summer. Exciting! I tried it out and I love it to bits. Definitely something that you will see me wearing loads in the future.

Swatches of the first two.

The third shade is a goldeny champagne color. It has some fine silver glitter that makes it super girly and pretty. Definitely a color that's easy to wear!

This next shade is like the one before but a bit warmer and more golden. I think this will be mostly used when I develop some kinf of a tan.... ;)

Swatches for those two.

The last shade looks a bit boring, but when swatched (below), it is absolutely gorgeous!! Again, something very easy to wear, but looks nice no matter what.

Overall I'm pleased with the quality of these shadows. They are super soft and are really pigmented. For the swatches I barely had to touch the shadows to get a lot of color payoff, which can be pretty rare especially when it comes to neutrals. Something I'll be using for a long long time!

I also got a blush. This was pretty much the only blush they had that doesn't have insane glitter or is really brown.

The color is perfect for my pale skin; It's a light pink with a mauve undertone. Love it! Also, I don't think I even own a decent blush, so this was much needed! :D

A swatch.

Then for the random purchases I made. The first thing I got was a new mascara. My Clinique High Impact mascara (that I love) was dangerously running out and I had to get a new mascara. As much as I loved that mascara, I wanted to get something different. After all, I haven't tried that many mascaras, and it would be dangerous for my wallet if I decided to fall in love with the higher brands ;) So I decided to get the Max Factor (European equal to Cover Girl) Masterpiece Max mascara in black. I was scared to try something else than my darling Clinique, but I'm so happy to say that I'm really pleased with this mascara!!

The brush is kind of small, but it's great for defining lashes and catching those tiny lashes at the corners of your eyes. The formula is pretty dry, but I personally don't really care about what kind the formula is, as long as it looks great and it lasts! :)

A few days ago I realized that I'm totally running out of eyeliner!! How's that possible!? Anyway, I went ahead and picked up a Maybelline Expression Kajal in 33 Black.

The liner itself is thin, which is great because it gives a fine line even without sharpening :) Plus it's super creamy and easy to apply!!

Swatched.

Then finally, something I wasn't really planning on getting, is the Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer. Basically, this is a cheaper version of the YSL Touch Eclat. I've tried the YSL, many times, and loved it. But dare I even say, I like this a lot more!! Awesome!!

The application is pretty much exactly the same as the YSL. The formula actually covers more than the waaay more expensive one, so even if you have the money, spend it on something else and buy this instead!!

NOTD: Butter London Hen Party

M: The other day I visited Douglas (a German version of Sephora), and noticed that they had started to sell Butter London nail polishes. I've heard so many incredible things from this polishes, so I had to try one!
I decided to go with something quite neutral and classy, just to try. At first glance this shade is a pretty ordinary white pearl color, but when you look at it from the right angle, you can see very fine blue shimmer. I couldn't catch the shimmer in pictures, but it is quite beautiful.

I'm not British enough to understand the meaning of the name, I guess I'll have to Google it :D

The color is not opaque at all, but it leaves your nails looking fresh and clean. And just like their reputation, the quality of this polish is lovely. The formula isn't watery, and it dries relatively fast. Definitely a new fav!!

Something Beautiful: Benefit's Finding Mr. Bright!!

M: Whenever I get the chance, I always go admire the Benefit counter. They're products look amazing and they're wonderfully colorful packaging and hilarious names are always calling my name. Today, the lady at the counter showed me and my mom the Finding Mr. Bright kit. My mom was apparently in a very good mood, because she decided to get it for me as an early birthday present!! :D I wanted to share what the kit has:
I love the bags that Benefit has!!

Just like basically everything else from Benefit, this packaging is colorful - and the name is funny too!!

Whoops!! Sorry about the blurriness!! The kit has four miniature sized products that make your face look more glowing.

Firstly, there's Girl Meets Pearl. This is a beautiful golden highlighter that you can use on the cheekbone or under the brows. I think this will even prettier with a tan or to people who have a darker skintone than I do.

Posie Tint is one of the famous cheek stains that Benefit has. This rosy pink tone is a beautiful alternative to blush. It gives a nice rosy flush to the face with looking like you've put nothing on your cheeks. You can also use it as a lip color!!

High Beam is also one the most well known from Benefit. Compared to Girl Meets Pearl, this highlighter is a much cooler tone, which is more suitable for my skin tone right now. You can also run it down your nose to make it seem a bit slimmer.

And finally, the Erase Paste concealer in the shade Medium 2. This shade is little bit too dark for me, but the salmony color of it works perfectly well under my eyes to cover up those unbelievable veins of mine.

NOTD: Mavala 71 La Paz

J: I bought this in 2010, and i've worn it ONCE! Can you believe me, once??? Yeah, I had this thing, that I didn't like red/dark pink polishes, but few days ago something clicked in my head. I have absolutely no idea, why did I ever start hating this polish(my sister took it for herself very pleased), because it's divine! The color is a pretty berry red/fuchsia pink, and went straight to my favorite nail polish- list! Oh, and these pictures make the color look very red!
